Our editorial standard

Every factual claim on this site traces to one of four primary sources: the published ingredient list, the official order page, the stated return policy, or peer-reviewed literature indexed on PubMed and summarised by bodies such as the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health and the Alzheimer’s Association.

Where a figure is not disclosed, we write that it is not disclosed rather than filling the gap with an estimate. Where an ingredient’s research sits in a different field from the one it is being marketed for — and St. John’s Wort in a memory formula is a textbook example — we say so. Where a marketing claim is untrue, we correct it on the same page that carries our affiliate link.

Why this product gets extra scrutiny

Two reasons, and both are specific to this formula.

The first is St. John’s Wort. It is not a mild botanical. It induces the CYP3A4 enzyme system and P-glycoprotein, which means it actively lowers blood levels of a wide range of prescription medicines. The documented consequences in the medical literature include contraceptive failure, transplant rejection, loss of HIV viral suppression and reduced anticoagulation. A product containing it, sold without a word of warning, to a demographic disproportionately likely to be on daily medication, warrants a page that says so clearly.

The second is the nature of memory concern itself. Someone searching for a memory supplement may be experiencing something entirely treatable — thyroid disease, B12 deficiency, sleep apnoea, depression, or side effects from medication they already take. Encouraging them to spend three months on a capsule instead of getting assessed is a real harm, not just a wasted purchase. That is why every substantive page here says so.

This site earns commission when readers buy through our links. We disclose that in the footer of every page and on our affiliate disclosure page. The commission does not change what we publish: the same pages that link to the product also document the St. John’s Wort interaction profile across nine medication classes, the undisclosed doses, the dose arithmetic that shows something must be under-dosed, the inaccurate FDA badge, the contradiction between the official FAQ and the official ingredient list, and the fact that no independent review record exists.
